101 List: 98.) See 125 of the top 250 movies on IMDB

April 19, 2011

I’ve started a weekly movie night on Fridays to try to make some progress with my 125 of the top 250 movies on IMDB. Now, I don’t think I am going to make this goal given watching one a week, it’d take me far longer to complete this goal; however, when my 1001 days is over (this September), I will make a new list which will incorporate some of the goals I did not complete from this list.

The first movie we chose to watch was Blade Runner, well Jimmy chose it. According to Wikipedia: “Blade Runner is a 1982 American science fiction film, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison FordRutger Hauer, and Sean Young. The screenplay, written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples, is based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick.”

A man holding a gun, a woman holding a cigarette, and a city-scape.

It was…okay. It was odd, entertaining, interesting story, rather dark (both plot, and the physical lighting), unintentional amusing (particularly with several friends sitting in front of me making funny comments like in MST3K), but overall…just okay. I wouldn’t watch it again, but I’m glad I saw it once.
