Motivational Mondays

March 1, 2010

Motivational Mondays are my weekly health check-ins- for accountability purposes.

Goals Achieved Last Week: 2/3

My exercise goal: hula-hoop everyday for 10 minutes- COMPLETED. I hooped 10 minutes every single day, even on days when it was particularly challenging. On Friday, I had to squeeze it in, in the middle of the day while I was waiting to go somewhere. I almost slipped on Saturday, but Jimmy forced me to hoop at like midnight despite how tired I was, lol.

My nutritional goal: Track all my food intake for 1 whole day. FAILED. I didn’t even really attempt this one, last week was so chaotic and lots of last minute plan changes came up, that I kept saying “It’ll be easier to do it tomorrow.”

My motivational goal: Set up a fitness tracking page on my to-do spreadsheet….COMPLETED, BUT NOT EXACTLY. Okay, I actually didn’t do this. However, it is because I came up with a better method. I need to purchase something from, but I wasn’t at the free shipping mark yet, and I need a planner…so I decided to poke around and see if I could find one. I found a fitness-oriented planner, that uses color to help track fitness goals. It’s hard to explain, but it looks so cool. I will post a review after I have been using it for a few weeks.

Results of Weekly Weigh-in: Gained a 1 pound (-2 from original)…Still no results! But, that is to be expected. This plan is not supposed to result in immediate weight loss, but in lifelong healthy habits. I think exercising every single day without fail is more successful than losing weight! 🙂

For This Week

New Goals

Exercise Goal: 12 minutes of hooping per day
Nutritional Goal: Track my eating habits for one full day this week (attempt #2)
Motivational: Plan out reward for losing 10 pounds; print out picture and post somewhere to act as motivation!
