November 20, 2009

Here is my current meal plan for Thanksgiving:

Brined & Grilled Turkey (provided by Jimmy)

Apple Cider Gravy

Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Ritz Crackers with: Linguica Spread, Spicy Cranberry Dip, or Bacon Cheddar Spread

Celery with PB or Cream Cheese

Homemade Applesauce

Whiskey Glazed Carrots

Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Crescent Rolls

Mushrooms Stuffed with Brie

Homemade Blueberry Pie

If I have time, I’ll also make some chocolate chip cookies or sugar cookies.

Everything sounds so yummy! And it’s cool that you’ve shared your recipe sources. I’ll have to try those mushrooms.

My daughter plans to cook & serve dinner Friday to the widows & widowers from our church. She’ll graduate from college in December.

WOW, sounds like you’ll be having an amazing Thanksgiving! Up here in Canada we’ve already had ours, but yours sounds much better than what I had!

Thanks for all the great comments guys! It’s really not as complicated as it sounds, lots of easy recipes! 🙂

Marla.z- I haven’t attempt to make Apple Cider Gravy yet, but there are plenty of recipes out there to choose from. It sounds really simple: apple cider, butter, flour, chicken stock, salt, pepper.

I will post how everything turned out on Friday.
