Candy, Candy, Candy

November 1, 2009

Trick-or-treating in Toledo was from 6pm to 8pm last night.

Crowds: We usually get a lot of kids. Between 6:30 & 7:30, I pretty much don’t get to sit down. However, this year was very quite. Noticeably less children than usual- was it because it was on a Saturday night, or because of the H1N1 outbreaks?

Favorite Costumes: I had 2 baby giraffes, and the cutest little pink octopus you have ever seen. No really interesting/intricate or unique costumes. I did enjoy the solider who marched and saluted me.

Rudest kid: While I was handing out candy to his friends and holding the bowl, one boy kept reaching in and helping himself…

Politest kid: A 8 or 9 year old boy with the typical gorey costume completely surprised me. “Trick-or-treat, mam” “Thank you” “Happy Halloween”. I should have given him extra.

Winning Candy: Children got excited over 2 types of candy that I had: Reese’s PB Cups, and Brightly-colored fruit Twizzlers.
